Customize which meeting types get recorded
Did you know that there are several types of meetings? Each meeting type has default recording options available to your organization. Some can only be set at the organization level by Administrators. You can also delegate some preferences to users themselves.
Instant meetings
Instant meetings
Instant meetings are those meetings which are not scheduled. You can start an instant meeting using the "New Meeting" button in your Zoom app. By default, these meetings are not set to record in Jiminny. You can update this preference in your Organization Recording settings.
Scheduled meetings
Scheduled meetings
These meetings are scheduled in your calendar using the Zoom scheduler extension. These meetings are recorded by default but this can be changed on a user or organization level. On your Dashboard, you are able to control the recording preference for each upcoming meeting individually.
Internal meetings are ones where all the participants are using the same email domain e.g. "@jiminny.com". By default, the recording preference for internal meetings is turned off since it can contain private or sensitive information. You can change the recording settings for your internal meetings from your Organization or profile.Ā
PMI or Meetings with Personal ID
PMI or Meetings with Personal ID
These meetings share your Personal Zoom ID that is unique for your profile. The PMI can be reused and will always point to your meeting room. By default, your organization is configured to record these meetings. PMI meetings can be scheduled or started instantly.
